The practice of bound feet became so tighly woven into the fabric of society that it persisted in China for over 1000 years. Generations and generations of women abidingly had their feet bound to conform to society norms. This pair of ceramic "bound feet shows" was part of a larger mixed-media installation entitled "Binding, Breaking..." installed at the "Sensitive Touch" exhibition held at the Walker Street Gallery, Dandenong from 1-26 August 2003
