collectZing was founded by David Eedle and Fiona Boyd, who envisioned a new online place for the collectors of the world to gather, share and trade their collectibles, and have fun doing it.
David and Fiona have a long history establishing and operating online communities and businesses. Their most recent venture, Arts Hub, sold to private investors in 2006. Arts Hub is an online subscription content business, with tens of thousands of members globally, and offices in Melbourne, New York, and London.
David and Fiona are featured in the new book by Emily Ross and Angus Holland (authors of 100 Great Businesses and the Minds Behind Them, Random House, 2004) called 50 Great e-Businesses and the Minds Behind Them (Random House, 2007). Other businesses featured in the book, include Google, Amazon, eBay, Seek, Realestate.com.au, MySpace and YouTube as well as 42 others you may have heard of.
Emily and Angus' first book was something of a quiet hit - it got great reviews on Amazon, and apparently sells really well at airports, the format proving popular in-flight reading material.

Currently collectZing is in the beta release of stage one.
